NEW Phone System - Dane County Child Support Agency
We are excited to announce that we have updated our phone system that will connect you directly to your caseworker.  When calling our office, (608) 266-4031, listen carefully to the NEW options.  
Caseworkers have 3 days to return your phone call, so there is no need to call back to follow up.     
Option 1              Payment Information 
Option 2              Lien Release and Satisfactions (vehicles, property, license, bank accounts, settlements)
Option 3              Cases needing paternity established or genetic tests appointments – Select using Mother’s last name
(No father listed on the birth certificate, and no court order established)
Option 4                           Cases needing an Order established –Select by Parent’s last name of the parent who may be ordered to pay (Father is listed on the birth certificate but no court order is established yet)
Option 5             Cases needing Order Enforcement, or Review and Adjust Requests – Select by paying parent’s last name
                           (Court order exists)

Under contract with the Department of Children and Families (DCF), the Dane County Child Support Agency provides assistance to establish paternity, establish support orders and enforce child support and health insurance. Our agency is comprised of dedicated individuals who handle over 28,000 open cases. Dane County Child Support Agency is one of 71 county and 10 tribal child support agencies in Wisconsin. We work in conjunction with the State, local courts and many outside partner agencies to meet the needs of the families that we serve.

How to Check on Payment Status

The State of Wisconsin has created several outstanding resources to check on your child support payments 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. That is why Dane County Child Support no longer provides payment information over the phone. Please use one of the listed payment resources available to you to manage your account balances, court order summary and payments made or received.

  • Child Support Online Services (CSOS) Secured Website (current year & last year payments)
  • IVR at the Trust Fund:  1-800-991-5530 (last two payments)
  • EPPIC Debit Mastercard: Toll-free # 1-877-253-3686. No website at this time. EPPIC has a text message alert feature. To set up call their toll free number
  • Direct deposit users can contact your local bank for savings and checking activities
  • Payment histories greater than 2 years old, contact us at (608) 266-4031

Payment Information

The State of Wisconsin issued a Debit Mastercard to parents who receive child support, family support and maintenance.  The card is issued by Comerica Bank and managed by EPPIC. 

Starting with the very first payment disbursed to you, an EPPIC Debit Mastercard will be mailed within 7-10 days to the current address we have on file.

If you would rather have your child support payments deposited into your own savings or checking account, please sign up for direct deposit by clicking here. Under the Subject Index, select Direct Deposit.

Apply for Services

If you have an existing Dane County Court Case, you may apply for our services free by filling out this simplified application and returning it to us. If possible, attach a copy of your most recent court order.

If you are brand new to child support services, you are required to fill out the Long Form Application. The Parent and Guardian Applications can be downloaded from the Wisconsin Department of Children and Families website under the Applying for Services section.

Please have your PIN number, IVD number, or social security number ready as we will need one of these numbers to verify your identity.

Our phone hours are Monday through Friday, 7:45 a.m. to 4:15 p.m. Case Participants will be connected to a Customer Service Rep, who will answer the questions or forward it to the assigned worker.  Leave a detailed and clear Voice Mail if you would like your call returned. The calls are answered in the order in which they are received; therefore, you may experience longer hold times while we assist other participants. It may take up to 3 business days for workers to return a call.

  • Your phone number where you can be reached

  •  A brief message as to why you are calling.
